Gone but not forgotten - Meryl Currie

GBNF/MerylCurrie1.jpg

Meryl Currie - Meryl was a member of an early incarnation of the Featherstone Hotel team that also included "renowned local broadcaster" Ian Clayton and she played for the Top House along with her partner John Thatcher, who was the local half of their life partnership, Meryl being Scottish.

I believe Meryl was a nurse, working at the Pontefract General Infirmary, a work colleague and quiz team colleague of Tony Davies who also now appears in this obituary section of course.  Meryl was also a keen supporter of the Featherstone Rovers.  She managed to make 69 Five Towns' Quiz League appearances over six years to 2000, then retiring to Ireland with John Thatcher, where she had connections and we heard that she had passed on in 2010.

Meryl Currie - died 2010
